Benefits of a Content Network Strategy

There are many ways we can create content for our business. While it’s essential to understand how to write effective content, that alone isn’t the most crucial element for SEO success. Blogging and content creation are vital for staying competitive in the SEO world, but having a strategic approach is even more important. You can’t effectively write content without a clear strategy. You need to consider your keywords and understand what your ideal clients are searching for. That’s where a content strategy network comes into play.

The Know, Like, and Trust Formula Lays the Groundwork

Let’s dive into the "Know, Like, Trust" formula, which is fundamental for establishing your online presence. First, we need to assert our knowledge as professionals. What makes us stand out? Who are we, and why are we considered experts in our field? Next, we focus on building likeability. This is achieved by creating engaging content that captures attention and provides value. The ultimate goal is to differentiate yourself from competitors and make your content compelling enough that people want to engage with it.

Lastly, we build trustworthiness. This involves demonstrating consistent results and meeting your audience’s needs, whether through a physical product, a guide, or a comprehensive coaching program. For instance, by the end of my 12-week coaching program, you’ll have a personalized and effective emotional regulation plan tailored to you. Technically, we build "Know, Like, Trust" through strategic linking, backlinking, analyzing time on page via Google Analytics, and ultimately achieving client conversions through various forms of content creation, whether through video or blogging.

Establishing Core Cornerstones

Cornerstone content is key to your websites branding. I know writing may not be your favorite past time and what I am about to tell you may make you hold your breath, but hear me out. Google has always prioritized written content over videos, ads, and other forms of marketing. if you have tried to break into social media, right now is the hardest time to market becaue the algortith is pushing things through at a snails pace, and because the content is more for entertainment, that knowledge many of the things we may want to do may not thrive on a social media platform. Writing always has and liekly will continue to be the cornerstone of boosting your SEO presence.

With that being said, here is the part where we continue to hold out breaths. What is cornerstone content. This is content that highlights our brand. So in the form of a landing page, it would be our core services. On my site, that would be my coaching packages, SEO services, and emotional regulation course. On yours it could be therapy for depression, Freeze dried candy packages, Coaching for Single moms, and so on. What it means in terms of blogs is detailed and descriptive blog posts on topics that your audience would be landing on your page for. For exmaple, mine would be Coaching for High achieving women, Mastering Emotional Regulation Course, and SEO For Beginniners, and so on. We would want to write blogs on these topics with 2000 to 3000 words. You can release your breath now.

Why Does the Blog Need to Be So Long?

Benefits:

  • Deeper engagement: In-depth content encourages readers to spend more time on your site, reducing bounce rates.

  • More opportunities for internal linking: Longer articles allow for more internal links, improving website navigation and SEO.

  • Content repurposing: Longer articles can be broken down into smaller pieces for social media, email marketing, or other content formats.

  • Building trust and credibility: Comprehensive content positions you as an expert in your niche.

Creating Supporting Blogs

After you create your signature 3 cornerstone blogs, you would then need to create some support blogs. These are around 800 to 1000 words long. Think about something you could whip up in an hour or two. Support blogs are blogs that split off into topics that would dive more deeply into a topic. I would then link this back to the cornerstone to create more ways for Google to crawl my website and see what my focus is.

Benefits:

  • Enhancing the depth and breadth of your content.

  • Boosting SEO through strategic internal linking.

  • Addressing various subtopics related to your core cornerstones.

Examples of Cornerstones with Supporting Blogs:

  • Supporting Blog: 5 DBT Skills to Help You Manage Your Emotions

  • Supporting Blog: Reasons You Struggle to Manage Your Emotional Reactions

  • Supporting Blog: An Open Letter to the Woman Who has Been Called Too Much Her Whole Life.

Leveraging Local SEO Blogs

Its important when creating content to leverage SEO in the areas you expect to find your ideal clients. That means adding in keywords that are location specific and adding in zip codes and locations into your alternative text.

Benefits:

  • Improving local search visibility and relevance.

  • Attracting a regional audience with tailored content.

  • Enhancing engagement with local communities.

Examples of Location Specific Blogs:

  • SEO in Denver, Colorado

  • Black SEO Specialist in Colorado Springs

  • SEO Support for Black Business Owners in the Springs

  • Colorado Mountain Towns SEO

  • Leveraging Nature in Colorado Springs for Emotional Regulation

  • How a Hike up Palmar Lake Gave me Clarity in My Life

  • Living in the Mile High City Isolated Me More Than I Could Imagine

Improving SEO Through Strategic Linking

So what makes a content network effective next is the internal linking stratetgy. Its important for Google to be able to crawl your website so it knows who to place your content in front of. With that being said, we have to internally link your content to other content within a site. That means I would find keyword rich anchor text like “ SEO in Denver”, or “ Comprehensive Guide to Emotional Regulation”, and I would like to another blog or landing page thats related on my website. So that means all of your supporting blogs should be connected to your cornerstone blog, and one another. This makes a clear path for Google. Be warned, do not create cyclical links. What that means is I would link this blog to itself as it goes no where and it would damage your SEO. Googles bots need a path from one path to the other, not from one page to itself, so beware of that. Lastly, make sure your internal links are opening within the website. As this is best SEO practice. The only time a link should open in a separate window is with external links.

Benefits:

  • Enhancing page authority and relevance.

  • Guiding users through related content seamlessly.

  • Boosting overall site SEO performance.

    Building Brand Authority and Trust

A content network significantly enhances brand positioning by establishing credibility within your niche, crafting a unified brand message, and fostering trust through consistent, high-quality content. This strategic approach strengthens your brand's authority and resonance with your target audience.
